For a family already struggling financially, the expense of adequately preparing children for the start of the school year can be a heavy burden. Making sure that all students have the tools to learn on day one sets the tone for the entire year.
United Way of Martin County is working with a collaborative of community partners to provide school supplies to several Martin County elementary schools at no cost. We are looking for volunteers to help us sort the toys so we can get them into classrooms and into the hands of students who need them!
This is a great volunteer opportunity for civic and youth groups (ages 12+). Two-hour volunteer slots are available from Monday, July 8 to Thursday, July 18. Sorting will take place at
Port Salerno Elementary School cafeteria.
