United Way of Martin County’s CHARACTER COUNTS! program and Martin Health System, in partnership with the Business Development Board of Martin County, recently honored MIS Consulting with the seventh annual Business of Character Award.
The goal of the Business of Character Award is to raise awareness of the importance of core ethical business practices and recognize local businesses that encourage and reward mutual respect, responsibility and trustworthiness.
On hand to accept the award were owners Joe and Angie Leggio. MIS Consulting was honored for being community-minded and supportive of Martin County’s business community as well as many local nonprofit organizations. Recently, MIS was part of the renovation of the Golden Gate Center for Enrichment, installing the computer wiring, helping to determine the best computers for the Center’s guests to use, and strategizing the best way to manage wireless access. The Leggios understand the importance of offering a place for people to have access to technology that is safe for all users.
As one of their employees wrote, “Joe and Angie stress that our goal is always to provide the absolute best service to the client. They have hand-picked a group of highly skilled technicians and have led our team with genuine caring, mutual respect, integrity, and commitment to quality and loyalty.” Also recognized at the luncheon for their commitment to serving Martin County with character were finalists R V Jonson Insurance Agency and Waste Management.
