This holiday season, Ashley Capital is partnering with United Way of Martin County to spark a love of reading in local children through a special literacy initiative for grades K-3. As a proud supporter of the Holiday Project, Ashley Capital is helping ensure that every child receives not just a gift – but the gift of imagination, learning, and possibility.
Why literacy? Because children who aren’t reading proficiently by third grade face serious long-term risks: 88% never catch up academically, and over 80% of high school dropouts were struggling readers in third grade. These students are also significantly more likely to enter the juvenile justice system. Early literacy isn’t just about school success – it’s about changing life trajectories.
