Good Golf, Great Company and an Even Better Cause
Pratt & Whitney brings golfers and businesses together for a fun-filled Friday benefiting United Way of Martin County.
A Friday on the golf course is hard to beat. Add some friendly competition, a great group of people and a good cause, and you've got a pretty great way to kick off the weekend.
That's exactly what Pratt & Whitney had in mind when it organized a charity golf tournament benefiting United Way of Martin County on Friday, October 9.
Golfers came ready to enjoy the day, whether that meant sinking a putt, sharing a few laughs or simply enjoying some time away from the office. But beyond the scorecards and friendly rivalries, everyone was there for a reason: to give back to the community.
The tournament raised $6,840 for United Way of Martin County, helping support local programs and services that address challenges facing Martin County residents, from putting food on the table to accessing health care and achieving financial stability.
For United Way, events like this are a reminder that giving back doesn't always have to be formal. Sometimes, it looks like a group of coworkers, friends and local businesses coming together for a day of golf.
Of course, a tournament like this doesn't happen without people willing to pitch in.
United Way extends a special thank-you to Pratt & Whitney for organizing the event and bringing everyone together, along with the businesses that helped make the day possible:
- Man Cave for Men
- JC Welton Construction Inc.
- Flips Golf Flags
- Drift Dental
- Titan Saws
- GatorPro Xtreme Hunting Gear
Whether they were out on the course or supporting the event behind the scenes, each played a part in turning a fun Friday into something that will have an impact well beyond the golf course.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the tournament a success. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did!
