President's Volunteer Service Award

The President's Volunteer Service Award is a national accolade that recognizes individuals, families, and groups who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteerism and community service.

United Way of Martin County is a local certified organization that presents the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. This national award, founded under the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation in 2003, recognizes individuals, families, and groups who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteerism and community service, honoring their significant contributions.

Hours must be completed within a single calendar year to receive award. 

Eligibility 

Volunteers must:

  • Be a United States Citizen and a Martin County Resident
  • Be 5+ years of age
  • Complete benchmark service requirements within a 12-month period for Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards, or over a lifetime for Lifetime Achievement Awards
  • Track and verify volunteer hours through volunteer organization(s)

What is received?

Awardees will receive the official President’s Volunteer Service Award Certificate of Achievement, a letter signed by the President of the United States and the choice of a volunteer service medallion, coin or pin. 

All award recipients will be recognized at a City of Stuart Commission Meeting (held on the second Monday of every month at 4PM).
