Join Martin County Fire Rescue, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Firefighter Paramedics IAFF Union Local 2959, and Firefighters Benevolent for the annual 9/11 Bridge Walk — a powerful tribute to the heroes we lost on September 11, 2001.

This year’s walk will begin at Jock Leighton Park in Palm City. Instead of continuing to US-1, participants will cross the bridge, turn around, and return over the bridge to the park. Transportation may still be available for those in need of a ride back.

United Way’s AmeriCorps Seniors will be handing out American flags to wave proudly during the walk, as well as informational flyers. Leaders United volunteers will be stationed at the southwest corner of Kanner Highway and Indian Street to provide water and goodies for participants (United Way logo is where the water station will be located on the map below).

Let’s come together as a community to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage of our first responders. ❤️
