Never Forget: September 11, 2001

On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 lives were lost in the largest terrorist attack on USA soil.

While many of us remember that fateful day for the resilience, unity, and hope that rose out of tragedy, those lessons are ones today’s students only encounter in history books.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum has created a Digital Learning Experience for students and teachers to watch a 30-minute film exploring:

  • Survivor and first responder stories
  • The timeline of events
  • The resilience of communities
  • Ways to reflect and remember

It’s important to understand our history, to honor the lives that were lost, and to carry forward the lessons of unity and resilience that continue to shape our communities today.

The film will be available on The 9/11 Memorial & Museum website beginning Thursday, September 11, 2025.
